#17S – Small Coarse Detail
CA $6.25 – CA $34.50
Useful for miniature birds or very small mammal carvings. Also works well on tagua nuts.
“Wide-line” sharp tips are used mainly for feather and hair detail. They do not burn as fine as the fine-line sharp tips, and tend to give a shallower texture. This is the style of texturing preferred by many top carvers including Larry Barth and Pat Godin. Used in much the same way as Round Skew tips (Series 7), but yielding a wider detail line. Heavy duty versions yield a slightly thicker line than standard versions.
