Beginner Class
CA $65.00
This will be a fun seasonal carve which will help build your hand carving skills and confidence.
Mushroom and Acorn
In this workshop, you will learn how to carve a cute Mushroom and Acorn.
This class is best suited for beginners, as we will be going over the basics of woodcarving.
Having experience using/holding a knife properly will be key for this workshop. Please make sure you have suitable experience prior to the workshop to ensure you will have enough time to complete both projects. (Pairing knife skills are beneficial).
Tools will not be provided to you for this workshop, please bring your woodcarving knife and a small gouge, and a glove. The knife and glove are mandatory to bring. The small gouge is ideal to bring if you have one, as we will use it to add texture to the lid of the acorn. However if you do not own one yet you can still complete the acorn carving without the additional textured surface.
Kids are welcome! (ages 10+, supervised by a parent).
This workshop is a great chance for beginners to give wood carving a try. Both the acorn and mushroom also make for perfect seasonal decorations. At only 65$ per person, you can have a fun afternoon with other beginner carvers and learn a new skill together. Invite your friends to join you, and we can carve a fairy ring of mushrooms!
In this class we will be using carving techniques to create 3-D wooden carvings of a mushroom and an acorn. Painting will not be covered in this class, but we recommend you take our separate painting class if you want a more in depth learning opportunity on painting.
This class is 6 hours long, from 10am to 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
