These red aluminum oxide sanding bands from Foredom are sold in assorted packs for 1/2″ head diameter or 1/4″ head diameter. Explicitly suitable to use with corresponding Foredom rubber head mandrels, sold separately.
Included in the assorted pack is 6 bands for each of the following grits: 60 Grit, 80 Grit, 120 Grit, 180 Grit, 240 Grit, 320 Grit, 600 Grit. 42 Pieces total.
These assorted aluminum oxide sanding band packs are available in 2 different sizes: 1/2 x 1/2 Or 1/4 x 1/2″ .
When ordering, please be aware you will need to use the correct sized rubber head mandrel. Sizes needed will be for 1/2″ and/or 1/4″ with a 1/8″ shank.

To install, slip band onto rubber drum with screw loose. Following when band is in position, tighten the screw. This will expand the rubber drum. Ensuring for a secure hold.
Max Speed 40,000RPM . Therefore ideal operating speeds are much lower (between 25% – 50% of maximum speeds) and also depend on the type of work piece.
