HOW TO ORDER

1. Add the quantity of pieces you would like to your cart
2. At checkout, please type in the “Order Comments” the dimensions you would like for your basswood pieces.

Please ensure your measurements are in the format of Thickness x Width x Length in inches

Finally, Once the order is submitted we will send you an email within 24-48 hours (1-2 business days) with information on the cost of the wood and the shipping estimate.

We typically have 1″ , 2″, 3″ and sometimes 4″ thick stock to cut from. Currently we do not have 3″ or 4″ stock.

Please only order in single digit measurements for the thickness. 

Our basswood is excellent quality and kiln dried to 10% moisture so it is perfect for woodcarving.  Basswood is also very good for woodburning projects as its clear surface does not conflict with the burning. Our basswood comes rough cut from our lumber mill and not planed as shown in the pictures below.  Basswood is the wood of choice for most wood carvers.  This light weight wood works very easily with both hand and power tools.  It can be painted and finished without difficulty, but does offer a challenge when staining.  Basswood ranges in color from creamy white to very light brown. You may have seen our basswood recommended by social media Woodcarvers.

Basswood and other wood products do not typically fit within our normal shipping costs due to weight and volumetrics.

Therefore, Once an order with basswood is placed we will email you to confirm that you are okay with the custom quoted shipping cost BEFORE your order is processed or charged to your credit card. Payment is NOT COLLECTED immediately after placing an order for basswood.
