Hannah studied fine art right here in Waterloo at U of W. One of her specialties is realistic pet portraiture. She captures the essence of the pet’s personality through the portraits she creates. She brings with her an outstanding skill set in illustration. Hannah will share with you tips and tricks on pattern transfer, texture, shading, capturing light, avoiding mistakes, the finer details and lastly, finishing the piece. Hannah is approachable and has previous experience teaching in galleries. You can expect nothing but the best experience as you learn through her unique teachings. Hannah will help you creates beautiful functional keepsake projects that will be admired and cherished as a one-of-a-kind gift to yourself or a loved one.
You will get to work on roughly a 7×10 inch piece of live edge basswood that has been cut and prepared to provide an ultra smooth burning surface. Basswood is the softest of all hardwoods and is popular for beginner wood burning projects.

This class is for a student with little or no pyrography experience. Students may use their own wood burner or borrow from Chipping Away for a small fee.
This Class will be held Saturday June 3rd from 10am-4pm
Registration deadline will be June 1st as material and image preparations are required.
Max. number of students is 10, space is limited.
