Woodcarvers Round Oval Eye Punches
These punches take the work out of making eyes that really do match. Simply position the punch, push hard while rotating and a perfectly round eye will be made. The round punches are mainly used on human figures and the oval punches are mainly used on animal carvings.
Further details can be added with a knife or paints. Punches are 4 1/2″ long and made from cold-rolled steel. Use a smaller punch within a larger for the pupil. But of course, they can be used for other applications that require a perfect circle or oval – buttons for instance.
