Drake Gil Special Roughout Knife with Finger Groove

This knife was designed by Gilbert Drake for his own large hands. The handle features a finger groove close to the blade which helps to grip the rounded handle tightly and comfortably.  Like all Drake tools these blades are made of high carbon tool steel and polished to a mirror finish. They are sharpened and ready to use and tempered and therefore hold their edge for hours.  This knife has a 2″ blade.

Gilbert Drake not only makes these knives, he uses them too!  This “Gil Special” designed is for his own large hands.  Consequently the handle features a finger groove close to the blade which helps to grip the rounded handle tightly and comfortably.  This knife has a 2″ blade.

Like all Drake tools these blades are made of high carbon tool steel and polished to a mirror finish. They are sharpened and ready to use and tempered and therefore hold their edge for hours.

The hardwood handle type and color will vary with each tool. You can be rest assured they will be beautiful and furthermore are very comfortable to hold.
