Felt Buffing Wheels are perfect for quickly and easily keeping your woodworking and woodcarving tools in tip top shape and a pleasure to use. We have them both with a Flat or Contoured edges so all your tools will perform like new.
Our Felt Buffing Wheels are available with either a Flat or Contoured Edge. They will perform the final deburring and polish your tools to a razor sharp edge. Simply charge the wheel with your favorite strop compound (we suggest our Green Compound) before use.
Contoured Felt Buffing Wheel for Woodcarvers
Sharpening, polishing or stropping the inside channels of gouges has always been an challenge. Our woodcarvers contoured felt buffing wheels are specially shaped to reach into all the contours of even the deepest gouges and V-tools. Therefore it easily removes burrs and polishes your tools to a razor sharp edge. It is made of Super hard felt and retains its shape so it will not round your edges or wear out. It is 6″ in diameter and 1″ thick. The center mounting hole is 5/8″ and has with 1/2″ reducer sleeve. We suggest a maximum speed of 3,600 rpm. As with all felt wheels, it requires final “truing” the before use. A user guide comes with the wheel that includes suggestions for “truing”.
Flat Felt Buffing Wheel
As the name implies, this wheel is a flat edge and can be used for your flat and skew chisels. It can also be used for the outer bevels of your gouges by twisting the tool. Our Flat wheel is 6″ in diameter and 1″ thick. The center mounting hole is 5/8″ and has with 1/2″ reducer sleeve.
