20057 Knights Choice All Blade Set

The 20057 Knights Choice All Blade Set is a great starter set,.  It is excellent for basic carving and sculpting in rapid stock removal and shaping.  As a result, just stand back and watch the chips fly!  In addition, you can use the chain saw blades individually or combine them for different applications.  Therefore, they meet many of your woodworking needs.  The All Blades Set contains two Lancelots and two Squires and also our King Arthur’s Tools Universal Nut.

Note: The choice of blades is for the 5/8” (16mm) standard shaft angle grinders.  The kit includes the respective thread Universal Nut for single or tandem combination use.  These accessories can only be used safely on 4-1/2″ (115mm) stand and 125mm angle grinders.  The chainsaw blades can be used individually or in 5 different tandem combinations.

Different tandem combinations:

Pairing 1 x 22 tooth with 1 x 14 tooth Lancelot. This combination includes great versatility, with one of each fine and coarse tooth Lancelot (22 and 14 tooth), having the best of either a fine (22 tooth) or more aggressive (14 tooth) blade used individually. Paired in tandem combination, place the 22 tooth blade on top of the 14 tooth Lancelot.

Pairing 1 x 22 tooth Lancelot with 1 x 18 tooth Squire. This is the offset fine tooth combination, mounting the larger Lancelot first with Squire on top fastened with the Universal nut. When holding the grinder with the blades at between 25 to 30 degrees to the material, you have 40 teeth sweeping or raking material away sideways or in downward strokes. Also removes material in slice, plunge and straight cuts but leaves a step or bench shape with each pass. Best used for convex shaping e.g. removing the sides of a bowl, leaving a fine finish. Also great individually for detail work.

More tandem combinations:

Pairing 1 x 22 tooth Lancelot with 1 x 12 tooth Squire. This is the offset fine and course tooth combination mounting the fine tooth Lancelot first with the course tooth Squire on top. When holding the grinder with the blades at between 25 to 30 degrees to the material, you have 34 teeth sweeping or raking material away sideways or in downward strokes. Will also remove material in slice, plunge and straight cuts but leaves a step or bench shape with each pass. Best used for convex shaping in larger works. Rapidly removes material but leaves a course finish. Also great individually for detail work.

Pairing 1 x 14 tooth Lancelot with 1 x 18 tooth Squire. This is the offset course/fine tooth combination mounting the course 14 tooth Lancelot first with the fine 18 tooth Squire on top. When holding the grinder with the blades at between 25 to 30 degrees to the material, you have 32 teeth sweeping or raking material away sideways or in downward strokes.  The choice may come down to the number of teeth you want and how you want to use them individually for detail work. In this combination, Lancelot has a larger kerf and course teeth while Squire has a smaller kerf and fine teeth.

And yet another tandem combinations:

Pairing 1 x 14 tooth Lancelot with 1 x 12 tooth Squire. This is the most aggressive offset coarse tooth combination, mounting Lancelot first with Squire on top. When holding the grinder with the blades at between 25 to 30 degrees to the material, you have 26 teeth sweeping or raking material away sideways or in downward strokes. Will also remove material in slice, plunge and straight cuts but leaves a step or bench shape with each pass. This, our most aggressive tooth offset Lancelot/Squire combination, removes material incredibly fast for convex and surface shaping in large works where finish is not important.
