This machine was inspired by Harold Enlow. When we sent Harold one of our first prototypes for testing, he didn't want to give it back and carts it around the country with him. When Tom Wolfe saw Harold's, he phoned to order one immediately!  Tom said he always had trouble sharpening V-Tools ...up to then that is. With both Harold Enlow and Tom Wolfe using our Ultimate Power Honer is there really any need to say more!

It's like putting a motor on a slip strop!

Polish the inner channels of your gouges like never before. The Ultimate Power Honer has wooden wheel profiles for gouges in 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, and 3/8 radius.

These close-up photos show the bare maple wood BEFORE any compound is added. Use compound on these wheels just like you would on any slip strop.

The Ultimate Power Honer will polish the inside channel of your V-Tools too. We provide a MINI 30 degree profile to fit into those tiny and difficult high angles tools.   

We also provide a larger 30 degree profile wheel for polishing larger  V-Tools ~ simply polish one side at a time. The sharp angle lets the wheel get right up into the tightest point. See photo on left.

The 1-1/4" wide flat wheel is excellent for polishing your knives, chisels and skews as well as the outer surfaces of all your gouges.

Mandrel:  5/8" X 14" shaft threaded both ends; heavy-duty sealed 'floating' bearings for smooth, no maintenance operation; two locking stop collars; four 1-3/4" washers/flanges.

Pulleys & Drive Belt:  Matching three-step machined aluminum pulleys (one for 1/2" motor shaft and one for the 5/8" mandrel shaft).  Drive Belt is high quality ribbed rubber.

Wheel with 6 Profiles:  CNC machined on laminated select maple for strength and stability.  Profiles include: radius of 3/8", 1/4", 1/8", and micro 1/16" as well as two profiles for V-tools (one for micro and one for larger V-tools).

Wheel with Flat Profile:  CNC machined on laminated select maple with 1-1/4" flat surface for knives, outer edges, etc.
