3M's patented Cubitron ceramic aluminum oxide mineral sharpens itself with use. Once initial grinding wears the grain flat, it fractures along miro cracks creating new cutting edges.
The result is:
*Longer abrasive life - 2 to 4 times longer than traditional aluminum oxide depending on grit

*Faster stock removal with less heat and loading

We recommend using them at lower speeds for longer life and more control. Sold in packages of 10.

Large cones are 5/16" tapering to 1/8".

Small cones are 3/16" tapering to point.

You will wonder how you ever did without these handy miniature sanding mandrels and cones. They are quick, convenient and economical. Best of all, they do an incredible job of fine sanding and blending in those hard-to-reach areas that all wildlife carvers encounter all the time.

The large cones fit into a split-tapered mandrel #M20. The small cones fit onto a threaded mandrel #M100. They are all quick and easy to change, and the wrapped-paper design exposes new grit as the cones wear down.

Small Drum Sander has a 1/8" shank, drum has 9/16"diameter and is 1"long.
Medium Drum Sander has a 1/4" shank,drum has 9/16" diameter and is 1.5" long
Large Drum Sander has a 1/4" shank,drum has 13/16" diameter and is 2.25" long

Do not use at speeds exceeding 3,500rpm
for best results.

Cushioned Sanding Drums

Quality Cushioned Drum Sanders made in Canada and for use with Flexible Shafts. Work great with any flexible shaft Power System. Come mounted on a rubber padding for smoother finish with more control and we include a spare rubber pad.
We suggest using our Blue Line sandpaper from Sweden for use on these sanders.
