While Chipping Away promotes a number of different power chisels, this is the tool for your medium to large size jobs. Pop knows a good number of chainsaw carvers that use the Arbortech Power Chisel to 'dress up' some of their work once the chainsaw work is done.

This is a great tool with lots of power! But a word of caution ...you must keep it well lubricated. It uses an oil similar to chain saw oil that is applied to a felt pad ...easy to do, but requires frequent applications.

If you want your Power Chisel to be ready every time you are then this the product for you! The PCH400 comes with a quality slim-line Angle Grinder that is specially machined for the Power Grinder. The Power Chisel is meant to be PERMANENTLY attached to the grinder which will provide for exact alignment.
The PCH400 comes with a 3/4" Chisel and a 3/4" #7 Gouge as well as a small bottle of cam oil. Just take it out the box and plug it in!

Power Chisel ready to use

This option gives you a Power Chisel mounted on a Bosch 1375A Angle Grinder and is ready to use. If you would like to use the Angle Grinder for "other than" powering the Power Chisel than this is a wonderful option. You can use the Bosch Grinder to power the 4" Industrial Pro or Freestyle Blade (or other common grinding accessories) as well as the Mini Grinder. Removing and replacing each kit does take time and must be done with care ~ but for those that are economy minded it is an option to the PCH400 above that is a dedicated kit.

The PCH101 and PCH102 comes with the 6" Extension Arm; One 3/4" Chisel and One 3/4" #7 Gouge and all hardware for mounting to your own Angle Grinder. The most difficult part of mounting it to your own grinder is making sure it fits the collar and that the cam is EXACLTY aligned. Because there are SO MANY angle grinders available, it is impossible to know if it will fit yours. But Pop has offered some helpful suggestions at the bottom of this page and guidelines if you decide you would like to purchase JUST the PCH kit without our grinders. We suggest you read these carefully so as to avoid frustration. In fact, like Pop says: why not just purchase one of our complete kits as it is soooo much easier!

Will the Power Chisel fit your angle grinder?
Would you believe there are over 300 different models of angle grinders sold throughout the world. We have attempted to package the Power Chisel Kit to fit the most popuar models with both Metric and Imperial size sindles.
Does your angle grinder have a collar that is 38mm to 44mm
(1 1/2" to 1 3/4") in diameter and minimum height of 8mm?
(the collar is used for clamping around the metal shield of your grinder)
If your angle grinder has a collar this size, the Power Chisel Kit will fit. If the collar is smaller in diameter (as is the DeWalt 402 and some Black and Decker) you will require our product MIN015 Collar Enlarging Adaptor
Does your angle grinder NOT have a collar at all?
Some angle grinders do not have a collar - in this case the metal shield that came with your grinder will screw or bolt directly into the grinder's housing. This could be real problem and you should consider getting another grinder.
