Featured Carver
Chris Howard of Gatlinburg, TN.
Pop says:
I cannot remember laughing harder than when
Chris was telling stories of his life while growing up in the Smoky Mountains.
Chris was attending our 2005 Carver's Conference and entertained us with stories
while Ol Don Burgdorf serenaded us on his guitar at the end of the day.
Chris has a friendly southern manner, long hair, white cowboy hat and speaks
with a
Tennessee drawl that is perfect for telling mountain tales.

Chris was born the son of an Native American Mother in the shadows of the Great
Smoky Mountains where music and art are a way of life. He began carving wildlife
before becoming interested in sculpting human busts. Chris travels across
the US teaching classes at many events and should you ever have an opportunity
to take a class with Chris, I assure you it will be well worth your
time and effort. Pop
Sculpture of Madonna was completed for the 2008 Christmas Season. |
