One of their fundraisers is a Christmas Tree Raffle. A number of companies and organizations sponsor an artificial Christmas Tree or seasonal adornment decorated in a particular theme, which is put on display in a local shopping mall. Volunteers sell raffle tickets and the donor/buyer then puts his ticket slip into the box in front of the tree or adornment he would like to win. Proceeds from the ticket sales goes to MayCourt (they support various charity homes for women) and Children's Wish Foundation. Chipping Away will be contributing a Christmas Tree decorated fully with hand-carved ornaments for Christmas 2008! We have more than 300 wonderful ornaments from carvers across North America. Does Your Carving Club have a Website? We are often asked by new carvers if we know of any carvers or clubs in their area. We would be happy to direct them to your club's website through our "links Page" on our own website. Please ask your club to let Pop know your website Internet address would ya!
